ANOUNCEMENT: Ben Roethlisberger of the Steelers believes that Russell Wilson may join the Raiders and Pete Carroll in 2025.

The direction of the Pittsburgh Steelers over the next few years will

probably be greatly influenced by the crucial summer that the team is now in.

Sadly, Steeler Nation seems as like it has been hearing that for a while now,

and it is still unknown what the future holds.

Who the Steelers will start at quarterback in 2025 and hopefully

beyond is the first decision that everyone wants answers on.

The Steelers may not have the final say in the matter, even while everyone has an opinion on

whether the team should try to run it back with one of Justin Fields or Russell Wilson (or sign a rookie).

Following the announcement of Pete Carroll as the new head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders,

it was simple for some to draw connections that suggested a reunion with Wilson.

Wilson has disproved this notion, claiming that staying in Pittsburgh is his chosen career path.

Not everyone thinks Wilson isn’t just using it as good publicity.

Ben Roethlisberger is among many who believe

Wilson’s decision to silence the Raiders is merely a calculated move.

He discussed the Raiders and Wilson commotion on the latest Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger episode.

As soon as Roethlisberger said, “The whole Russell Wilson to the Raiders,

because Pete Carroll is there,” I am aware that Russ did what he was supposed to do—shoot it down.

However, is that actually a viable option? Because I am aware that he quit because of an alleged argument with Pete Carroll.

Is there something there, even if it has supposedly been fixed?

Wilson’s tenure as the quarterback for the Steelers in 2024 didn’t go as planned,

despite some promising early moments.

Wilson and current offensive coordinator Arthur Smtih are said to have a tense relationship

because Smith took away Wilson’s ability to switch plays at the line of scrimmage in the latter part of the season.

Wilson would be prepared to overlook past problems in order to reconcile with a familiar face out west,

as that move would likely irritate any experienced quarterback.

Wilson will undoubtedly look into the possibility of returning to the West and joining Carroll,

regardless of whether the Steelers and Wilson are interested in continuing their connection.

Given how the season concluded,

many people don’t think it would be ideal to run it again in 2025, therefore it might be a split that would benefit both parties in the long run.

The Steelers may consider adding two NFC teammates.

With a few players perhaps on the move, the Steelers’ offensive picture for the 2025 campaign might take an entirely different turn.

Cooper Kupp recently shared on social media that he was told

by the Los Angeles Rams that they would try to trade him this offseason.

Based on his tweet, it seems that he didn’t like the move.

The Steelers are a team that is in dire need of Kupp’s services,

and they seem to be in the lead as they were the first team to be brought up while considering potential destinations.

Matthew Stafford’s future has also been the subject of some conjecture, so Kupp may not be the only one.

Although it’s unclear if the Rams intend to trade him,

anything is conceivable because the franchise is prepared to let go of a player like Kupp who has played for the team his entire career.

Being one of the few teams that many believe are only a quarterback away,

the Steelers were also recently mentioned as a team that shouldn’t wait to call on Stafford.
