is still making headlines in baseball and has won another award for his outstanding play.

The 23-year-old pitcher gained attention for his outstanding performance in the

MLB Draft League during the 2024 season by being named Player of the Week.

Jaden Agassi has been paving his way in professional baseball,

while his parents made a lasting impression in tennis.

After developing his craft at the University of Southern California (USC) from 2021 to 2023,

the right-handed pitcher joined the Mahoning Valley Scrappers in the MLB Draft League in 2024.

With a 2.96 ERA across 27.1 innings pitched during the season,

he put up excellent stats.

Jaden gave up 22 hits and nine earned runs while striking out 28 batters.

When he played the West Virginia Black Bears on July 2, 2024,

it was one of his most memorable games. In his 7.1 innings pitched,

he struck out eight batters and gave up just one unearned run on one hit.

He was named MLB Draft League Pitcher of the Week for July 1–7, 2024,

for his dominance on the mound.

He was highlighted as the Player of the Week because of the same outstanding effort.

Jaden’s younger sister, Jaz Agassi, expressed joy at his most recent recognition.

Jaden and Jaz posted a video of the former’s incredible performance versus the West Virginia Black Bears on Instagram.

Jaden, the son of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, admitted that his father’s legacy solidified the

“Agassi” moniker in tennis history.

But he’s still committed to establishing himself in baseball.

When Jaden thought back on his childhood,

he remembered that as early as middle school,

people began to recognise his last name.

The 23-year-old is committed to making the Agassi name known in baseball on his own terms,

even in the face of his parents’ notoriety.

“I want to say that it kind of became more of a

reality around middle school when people started questioning me.

That’s sort of the objective.

Naturally, Agassi is a very tennis-related last name.

According to quotes gathered by WKBN, Andre Agassi’s son stated,

“The goal is to try to make it a baseball one.”

According to Steffi Graf’s 2013 interview with The Associated Press,

Jaden had a rigorous baseball regimen from an early age.
