NEWS FLASH: Following the Nuggets-Suns game, Kevin Durant makes a statement about Russell Westbrook

Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns discussed guard Russell Westbrook of the Denver Nuggets.

When they were colleagues on the Oklahoma City Thunder,

Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and Russell Westbrook of the Denver Nuggets were one of the NBA’s most dynamic duos.

 

Durant and Westbrook made it to the NBA Finals in 2012 and came within one game of returning in 2016,

but they never took home a championship.

 

In the Nuggets vs. Suns NBA Christmas game on Wednesday night,

 

Westbrook and Durant both played well against their opponents.

 

Westbrook was the only Nuggets player with a positive plus/minus,

scoring 17 points off the bench. In the decisive effort,

 

Durant scored 27 points and dished out six assists.

Following a historic matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers,

there was this NBA Christmas game. After the game, Durant made sure to bring up his former buddy when asked about the greatness of himself and those two superstars,

despite the fact that this was another epic clash between LeBron James and Steph Curry.

 

Durant asserted that he, James, and Curry are not the only three stars on Christmas.
