At his press conference on Thursday, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy addressed Patrick Mahomes’ frustrated performance during last Friday’s victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

“I know there was the question in regard to how he was in the game there in the red zone and on that one play,

but that’s never been who Patrick is; it’s truly not;

the frustration part is the team aspect of us,”

Nagy said, referring to the Chiefs’ offensive performance, which has the best record in the AFC.

We all wanted to improve in the game, thus we were frustrated.

Over the past two weeks, you have had the chance to end a game;

as an offense,

we have had the chance,

but we haven’t taken it.

Despite some gaps in the red zone efficiency,

the Chiefs offense has improved over the past several weeks because to strong performances from Mahomes.

According to Nagy, ”

we can be better,

we have to be better moving forward here towards the end of the season and into the playoffs.

” “I think that’s where it kind of got to a point,

whether there are penalties,

whether there are missed opportunities,

whatever it is,

I think it’s just one of those things that we know we’ve got to be better,” he said.

With a chance to win another AFC West division title, Kansas City will play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday night.

To ease the tensions before the postseason,

an offensive outburst would be perfect.

Chiefs offensive lineman Joe Thuney offers his thoughts on possible left tackle snaps:

“It doesn’t bother me.”

Joe Thuney, an All-Pro offensive lineman for the Kansas City Chiefs,

has gained respect from teammates throughout the league for his dependability and skill at his position.

He responded to reporters’ remarks about perhaps playing several games at left tackle on Thursday.

Thuney stated,

“I mean, whatever the team needs, whatever is required, doesn’t bother me.

” “I’m not just depending on my prior performance,

training,

and other things;

I’m just doing whatever the team asks of me, and I’m happy to do it,”

Throughout the season,

the Chiefs have struggled at left tackle with Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataia,

two young offensive linemen who have been coming and going in an attempt to find a winning combination.

The veteran Thuney may be a viable option, especially as the postseason approaches.

“The top players you’re blocking are different than the interior,

and I think there’s a lot more space out on the edge to tackle,

” Thuney remarked.

“It’s just a little different, you have to be at ease out there,

but you still have to go back to the basics because you’re still playing offensive line.”

Although Thuney is having another excellent season as an interior offensive lineman,

Kansas City’s prospects of winning three straight titles may depend on a switch to tackle if things don’t get better.
